About us

The Asylum Lawyers Network was founded in 1993 as a "legal advisory project" by UNHCR and Caritas Austria. Since 1998, other aid organizations have supported the network as project partners.

Member Organizations

We work closely with advice centers and partner organizations throughout Austria, receive professional and organizational support from Caritas Austria, utilize the expertise of other specialist agencies in legal proceedings, and promote regular exchange through biannual network meetings.

Project Lawyers

The Network of Asylum Lawyers (NWAA) is a continuous and intensive cooperation between several aid organizations active in the asylum field and lawyers specializing in asylum and immigration law.

We contribute to improved and guaranteed legal protection for all asylum seekers in Austria. Your donation helps us provide specialized, free legal representation for indigent asylum seekers in selected individual cases, primarily before the Austrian Supreme Courts, and to obtain landmark rulings from these courts!
